Maybe I can sell propane?  I have an endless supply of methane it seems.  Is there a market for that?

Ok off the mark here Diablo but where did you find the photo to make your avatar? I have been looking for something like that for years to add to a plane skin for IL-2 and I haven't found one suitable until I saw yours.

BTW I know several good companies in the Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas areas looking for concrete pump truck operators and sales people. The drawback is to be an operator you work super chitty hours and must have a CDL. But the sales guys mostly make pretty good money.

Honestly, I can't remember where I got it.  I had to search high and low on Google images to find it.  Search under "Cross of Lorraine".  Steal my avatar if you want to.

I don't have a CDL and one of the reasons why I want out of my current job is to have normal hours with my wife.  I never see her working night shifts (12 hrs.).

Look into taking some accounting courses and see how many credits you already have that count towards the requirements for the CPA exam.

I'm not suggesting that you become a pencil pushing bean counter...the knowledge you garner through the process is invaluable in any aspect of your future life.

My step brother was 47 when he got his CPA after quitting his job and selling the shares he held in the IT company he started here.  He is now head of compliance at a very large reinsurance company.

The sales guys at these concrete pumping companies work decent hours. There are times they have to be on a job site after or before normal business hours but most of the time they are out and moving by 7am and back home by 3-5 pm.

I’m not sure what the hours are like or how good the pay is.  I’m pretty sure that you’d have to learn a new, very easy language.  Occasionally, people might shoot at you.  The big perk is that you get to fly as often as you want; even some formation stuff!  DiabloTX, I think you’d make an awesome duck.

Houston, Texas is the nondestructive testing capital of the country.  If you think you might enjoy climbing all over a refinery, testing metals in various manners (ultrasonics, radiography, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant), making a boat-load of money, then check it out.

I plan to make my way down to Texas.  With two years experience, the average pay for industrial ultrasonics is $28-32 an hour.

I've heard this book highly recommended:

Maybe it will help you work through it.
