Of the time I was in full-time Law Enforcement and worked Holidays, I never got triple time pay. Just some extra comp time that I couldn't use anyway.

Happy Memorial Day everyone

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

And yet the second one of those drunks runs over your boat cuz he was sippin a Bud and rubbing his babysitter's leg, and not steering his craft, you'll be screaming as to why they weren't there.

Let's leave the sexy babysitters out of this. It's not her fault she's so hot and innocent.

This is why I love Oklahoma.

Ran by the lake today (Oolagah) nice place, alotta picnic areas.  Some folks out there already BBQ'n and invitin others to join them. When you pull in yer invited.

Good fishin, campin and at night there's alotta song and campfires.  Never seen a cop there in hours.  Good livin and better table manners.

Oklahoma is OK.

Oklahoma is OK.

There will always be a great use for the 3rd world: It's a great place to visit. I need to get my youngest a passport so we can head up there this Summer.

Overkill for the current situation... but I ask again, what happened for the Popo to staff that area that heavily with guys on triple time for a holiday?  Last year must have had some serious incidents, for law enforcement to be in such force.

They didn't just go there to write tickets, with all due respect. Something has to give them reason to be there.  If you think it's money, then you don't know too many officers.
Moray, there was no incident last year or the year before. No tragic boating while intoxicated incidents or drunken riots. With all due respect, you do not know the Wise County Sheriff's Dept. They are in the revenue business. Last weekend they went out writing tickets for illegal(glass) containers. They wrote 200+ tickets (at $150 ea.), one for every bottle or glass they found.

To be fair there is a sign at the very back of the park that says no glass containers in 1/4 inch letters.

The city is probably low on money so they are counting on drunks to be out in numbers
