Never touch the stuff.  Last time I did, I disappeared for six days, and regained consciousness in Amarillo, Texas.

Scared me to DEATH!  I thought I was in HELL!!

Any kind of mixer ruins the taste of good whiskey, tho it and Scotch can survive a little water.

At worst I'd pour some over ice. The really good single malts I'd drink neat.

My overall favorite tho was a shot and a beer. I sipped whiskey in order to savor it.

What ruined me was overseas service in USAF where the booze wasnt taxed. Once you get used to Crown Royal quality stuff your days of drinking swill are over and that can put a hurt on your pocket book once you hit stateside again.

All good scotches should be mixed with a touch of cool water. Ice is optional.

Straight is a relative term for booze, since once beyond its alcohol base it all is a mixture of something.  Fortunately my stomach rebels after more than two boozes of whatever persuasion.

The first time I met one the damned thing was stuck and had to use tools to get the liquor to flow.

I was traveling by train with mu Cousins, and a train attendant refused to bring us glasses because we were already too drunk. We had to tear the bloody plastic plug away using pocket tools to drink right from the barrel...

There is nothing that can stop three Russians from drinking.

Though I shudder to put his name in a thread with an opening post so angry at the English language, may I offer:

Hi my name is Reschke and I am a metrosexual who likes pedicures, back waxing and Bombay Sapphire and Tonic with 4 cubes of ice per glass...I also like good strong home made marguiritas with something other than the old stand by tequila and I like to drink Crown and 7 on occasion as well.

from the bottle.

If you mix you is a meterosexual.

Drink from the bottle and still form coherant sentances FTW.

There is nothing that can stop three Russians from drinking.

Except three sober Russians looking for a drink and taking it from the three drunk Russians.
