Jeez, Steve Winwood looks young there. I don't know for sure but I wouldn't guess a day over 21.

Great Stuff BTW (as always)  :rock

In 1972 (when this video was shot) Winwood was twenty-four.  The amazing part was that when he was with the Spencer Davis Group and sang "Give Me Some Lovin" he was only seventeen.

I wanted to take the wife to see him on the Petty Tour.   I forgot about it and now they're sold out.   I've always admired Winwood's musicianship.  He has mastered a few instruments and makes it look so damn easy.   But his solo on this song, puts the Fender Mustang in a whole new realm.

Actually, it's a Gibson Firebird.

Love the 'squonkiness' of those guitars.  It was Stevie Ray's first real solid body electric, although his wasn't a Firebid V.

BTW, that is a very tasty solo but to be expected from someone like Stevie Winwood.

Oh Lord.  I have NEVER seen a lime green Firebird.  They've always been like the tobacco sunburst.

It is a Firebird.   I was torn and got hung up on the switch on the bottom.   I should have known there were more on the Mustang.

I didn't notice the Firebird on the pickguard, or I'd have properly stated what it was.   The humbuckers didn't give it away as MANY guitarists back then "modded".    It isn't as common today.

Just because you haven't seen it, doesn't make it so.

The vibrato bridge gives it away as a Gibson.  Same one used on the SG's.

Sorry.  Wasn't saying they didn't exist, just that I had never seen one before.

I've seen many Firebirds, just that I have never seen a lime green one.
