Collins Foundation coming to Northern CA
« on: May 26, 2008, 07:59:24 PM »
Saw something in the paper this weekend.  The Collins Foundation: Wings of Freedom tour is coming to Sacramento and Yolo county May 30th through June 4th.

Airplanes include the P-51 (I think it's  B/C model), B17, B24, and B25 will be at McClellan Airfield May 30th to June 2nd, and Davis/Yolo Airport June 2nd, through the 4th.

Tours are $12 for adults, flights are $425 for the 17 and 24, and either $400 or $325 for the 25 depending on where you right.  Apparently the 51 has dual controls and flight lessons are $2200 for a half hour. :)

Here's a link to their tour schedule... http://www.collingsfoundation.org/cf_schedule-wof.htm

Note they'll be in Salem in June, in case anyone wanted to buy me an hour in the P51.  ;)
Three Times One Minus One.  Dayum!
