It was experimental. Never used from what I understand.

Also the mod was only tried on the 190A-5 or A-6 I think.

Don't believe it was ever tried on the 190F-8.

F-8/U14 was a torpedo variant IIRC (not at home, can't check my books). Does anyone happen to have any production numbers of the torpedo bomber 190's?

Here is a photo of an A5 variant equiped w/Torpedo. Of course they weren't widely used as they were only assigned to coastal units but they were used and were an available loadout for some aircraft. Lets get er done.

No 190 torpedo bombers did fly operational sorties.

I stand corrected, or believe Lusche and Krusty on this. With all the information out there on planes and what was used and when, or "if" its sometimes hard to sift through it all. I understand this was a testbed? Were any ever put into operation but didn't see any action?

First of all, way to bump a thread from 2005 (note, we're halfway through 2008 here...)

Second, no they were never used, never made common, never turned into a kit. It was purely experimental, like the G.55 that carried a torpedo.

Jesus would be envious of this threads resurrection.
