Skuzz, Banned At Home But Not Elsewhere?
« on: June 06, 2008, 01:19:26 PM »
Hey Skuzzy, I woke up this morning at my house and tried to log onto the boards, and was met with a "An Error Has Occurred, DoNKeY has been banned from the forums:  Banned for spamming..." or something to that nature.  So naturally I was like huh? because I am pretty sure that I haven't done anything that extreme.  So I tried a different computer in the house and got the same thing.  So I assumed that someone had figured out my password, and gotten on my account and spammed with it to the point where it was banned.

So I came up to my grandmas house which is a few minutes away to see if I could log on as a guest to see what's going on, and to my suprise I'm able to log on with my account at my grandmas house.  So I guess my IP is banned and not the account?

Just wondering if you know what's going on here, and what posts were made to get me banned, or is it just a temporary malfunction? I'm pretty sure that I didn't do anything against forum rules, so I'm kind of at a loss here.

Thanks for any help in clearing up this matter.

Actually the same way other problems get handled regarding AH and that is contact HTC via telephone.  You can't find folks that will break their backs to get other's problems solved like they do.

I really wasn't trying to be a smart buttocks with my response DoNkeY.  I and others have found the best way to get a problem solved is to call AH direct by phone and discuss the problem.  The number is (817) 251-1540.  I hope you get the problem straightened out.
