I wouldn't have a problem at all with any drug money seized going to officers pensions, disability, insurance, and survivors funds. They deserve it IMO. Let the crooks fund the very guys that are going to bust there butts.

I don't have a problem with LE getting paid better and having better benifits for what they do.
but being paid in any way from seizures and such creates a conflict of interest, raises possible problems of being unethical.

And since this State has a tax on Illegal drugs with the stamps being issued for the drugs by type and by the weight. it doesn't matter how much money they seize, if the tax is paid and stamped accordingly for the drugs seized, every single cent of the money goes back to the person that owns it.  It has already been ruled on.
the State pretty much did their self in with the tax. if the tax is paid, seizures of property, cars, etc. can also be argued as unconstitutional.

I agree.

:lol Morons.

Many cool things come from seizure money. In smaller counties, it goes for better police equipment or wherever the sheriff deems it necessary with the exception of anyone's paycheck. Cars go to the DA's Drug task force as UC units. Homes get sold and turned into revenue for the county. Same for small Police departments.

Crap! He took your money too?! I really suck at this ;)
Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.
