Damn Mac, Real sorry to hear about losing a companion like that. You do know he saved you from having to make that decision we all hope we never have to make.
The wife and I bought a Golden Retriever 3 years after we lost our last mutt (had her for 16 years).
1st purebread I've ever paid good money for. He's 2 now, what a great dog. Love him like one of my kids.
Can't keep him outta the water, he lives for it. Took him to OGIE's one night swimming in his inground pool. After we got tired of throwing his toy in for him to dive after, he decided to do it himself. He'd drop it in one end, go around to the steps and hop in and swim to get it.
