Aircraft color at range

can we have the mid range aircraft look more the color of the aircraft they represent at range? currently they all look black and indistinguishable, and in RL color of the aircraft and ID markings were extremely helpful at long ranged.

ie: a local flight school has 172s and 152s with red tails and these aircraft can be identified from as much as 5 miles away on a good day just by that red tail they got, and the 172s is smaller than a fighter from most angles

this would reduce the need for icons quite nicely in historical matchup fights

Doesn't the icon already give you the plane's type and country of origin?

IMHO, this thing does not have much to do with icons. I hope we would get reduced icon ranges, in which case visual id of the aircraft would be needed...

Further development of the planes' appearance at long distances is needed.

Yeah good point.  The "dots" shouldn't all be black.  I realize the black makes them easier to spot.  Maybe have them flicker, alternating between the plane's color and black.

Gnats^High ??

They did a great job back in the WB daze with long range identification. Must be a framerate issue for it to be dropped from this engine, no?
