Yeah, but a Spitfire just LOOKs so much prettier with a wing of "proper" elliptical shape. :D
As opposed to "e-clipped-ical"?  ;)

Corsairs "turn" great when you take them verticle and use their awesome roll rate.

Just a thought.

Heck, don't sell the Hog short. With the flaps down, they turn great, period. Will whip a Spit16 in horizontal turning. The Spixteen dweeb is gonna be the guy who HAS to use his climbing power in the vertical to win that fight.

Hmm... whenever I'm in a XVI I think of Hogs as easy kills and 90-95% are.

Regarding the F4u: Pick one. Either use the vertical OR turn. When using the vertical keep your speed, conserve your E. When turning you want to get slow as possible as fast as you can. Once you are slow, you won't be able to climb worth a damn. You WILL be out-verted once you slow to stall speeds.

So, don't pop your flaps, dump your gear, and then expect to out-yoyo a spitty or something.

Just an FYI.

If one wants to BnZ with a Spit, it is best done in a Spit14.   ;)  That thing is a monster when flown properly.
