Finnish, they actually used them in combat.

As for the "German P-51's" they were used mostly for training Luftwaffe crews on how Allied aircraft flew and reacted when attacked - think TOP GUN & RED FLAG.

KG200 actually did use captured B-17's to fly along with US bomber streams to radio speed and courses to attacking fighters. They also used them on bombing ops I believe.

As for that "Famous Story" of a US pilot getting a YB-40 Gunship to lure a Captured Italian P-38 in and kill is PURE GRADE A BULL CHIT. However there is a true story of a captured P-38 being used by the Italians to shoot down one possibly two B-24's. If you are interested in it contact me and I will send it to you.

Don't think these "Captured" skins would be practical - as hardly any of them seen any real combat and the ones that did was very minor in regards to what other aircraft did.
You know I think it is some what of a miff about the captured planes almost only being used for flight testing. Here are two examples from one fighter squadron that had combat situations with captured p47's & one of the pilots became an ace by shooting down a plane of his country of origin a deed that supposedly never been done prior or since. http://www.stormbirds.com/hillis/tboltkill.htm The documents are from the 358Th Fighter group I purchased the microfilm on the daily log reports.
