Landed victories after shot down

Well today in the Blue Arena I had a very strange experience as far as getting shot down.  I was over an enemy base, near a friendly GV spawn point.  Just after killing a N1K, someone shot me down from behind.  I bailed at about 150 ft and then all of a sudden I was sent to the tower.  I thought at first it was kinda odd that I didn't get time to open my chute even when I was at 150ft and not moving towards the ground that quickly.  I looked down and all of a sudden it says I have landed 2 Victories.  I don't get it?  Has anyone else seen anything like this?

If anyone from the Knights have footage of it, it would be interesting to view.

yeah I've seen guys blown up right in front of me and at the same time the text buffer says they've landed so many kills. I've personally have never been that lucky.  :cry

this has happenede to me a couple of times. it happens when you bail and are still getting shot at.
