video card question
« on: July 18, 2008, 04:23:14 PM »
I have a question about video cards.
I have a nvidia quadro4 700xgl, and have aces high running at 512 resoloution or something like that.
It says on the ingame display that I am getting 64mb of video memory and 1024 of system memory.
Only 600mb of the system memory is being used, and 60mb of the video card memory.
Is it possible to run AHII at a better resoloution?

Well you have an old card that isn't designed for gaming.  The Quadro series from Nvidia is designed for graphics applications, not games.  Your card is AGP 4X and only 64mb DDR.

Short answer:
Most likely not.
In game callsign: not currently flying

don't go by the ingame numbers like that. Skuzzy has said that those numbers are generated by the info the video card gives the game, and in most case the boards don't report accurate numbers.
