IMO getting the deflection shot on someone who has the courtesy to break to avoid the HO/collision is just as bad as a straight out HO.
Also in the heat of combat, you just can't tell if that person is lacking the air speed to pull up which create the angle or they r liberately forcing their nose down to stay out of the piper. There are a lot of factor processing in a split of a second. The window of opportunity to create a shot only last for split of a sec, sometime I make a good call sometime I make a bad call. I only fired at 150 yards, and it was like a split second shot, about 5 cannon rounds fired. Now base on what Bosco told me, then It was a bad call on my part. At the time I take a shot, it seemed like a good call given the info I knew then.
