How do i customize already made skins????
« on: June 28, 2008, 11:57:51 AM »
a few months ago i could download skins off the aces high website, and then customize them in paint.

but then i tried again today, and it says it cant read the RES file.
i thought they were bit files before.

is there any way i can edit skins that i download so i can make little changes to them?

btw i use windows vista home premium

you can only make changes to skins for offline use,and you would need to open the folder for that skin and work with the bit map.
It doesnt work with res files

Well, the thought of doing that smacks of plagiarism in my eyes.  Why would you want to take someone's "masterpiece" and "customize" it?  It's already been customized!  Why not just create your own original?  IMO, the skins we are so freely given to use are works of art, and to brazenly tweak them without the artists' permission would be distasteful...
