Bug w/ the DA

For somereason, I keep getting a message saying "____ has collided with you" when they were about 100 feet or so of me. I got film, if I can find the screenshots I'll put them up. :aok

Wow... Um... to be nice about this... Its what HE sees, not what YOU see. It will happen in any arena. Im guessing youre used to YOU being the one to get the collision message? On your FE he might be 100ft away. On HIS FE your filling his screen.

This is why the collision model works.

If it happened how some people want it to, where if one person touches the other's plane and they both take damage regardless of whether the other party hit you on their screen, you would have taken damage as well, despite the fact that you didn't hit them.

Where's is that ever famous picture showing a plane flying into the tail of another plane with no collision, and a plane flying just inches from the other plane and gets collision? Always a great one to post to show how collision's work in AHII.  ;)

It doesn't always happen to the same person. It happens randomly alot. And I'd ask the guy and he'd say the same thing.

If this happened in the MA, I wouldn't mind the free kills :D

Same basic angle external, tangle's view from my front end moment of impact.




How would you feel taking damage looking at your film and seeing tangles front end view, hmmmmmm?


I know I'd be pretty POed.

Edit: This also works nicely for the "none should take damage" people.
