I'm right there with Davey, LWO map has become rather tiresome. Same battle same land, just stick to TT,  had some great fights with Bubi and Kostic over the weekend.

HTC treats player made maps with pure disregard. Who knows why, it is absolutely ridiculous. I know many people have submitted maps, only to be told they needed "tweaking" for the MA, or that they were under review, never to be heard from again. The last time I saw a truly new map make it to the MA's was almost a year ago.

Also, every time someone posts some images of a map they're working on the forums, the same hackneyed bunch here comes and says "its good, but not for the MA yet!" or "the MA is a completely differently ballgame, son" as if every map needed to have some hithertofore undiscovered atomic level of precision and equality, lest gameplay be slightly thrown off. You know what, I personally wouldnt mind if we could get to test out a few of these such maps once a week. If it really is unbalanced, then oh well, one side will win and feedback can be given on the forums and the map tweaked or taken out of the rotation.

It just doesn't make sense that HTC has this great player community here and, for the most part, largely ignores its efforts.

Awhile back I posted that I think when Titanic Tuesday comes around every week, that the map should be rotated..So tommorrow,it should be a different map,let it play out during the week, then next Tuesday change it again..etc..etc...This will also reset blue as it comes back online,"I think",and that one can remain the same, unless of course it is the same map as is in the Titanic Tuesday arena.

Although I dont think it would be too much of an issue if it were the same,as we would know that in a week,Orange/TT would be a different map anyway...

I dont know, but I really dont think it would be that hard, would it Skuzzy???

Change is the only thing that will keep us "Electronic Crack" addicts addicted. New maps keeps us HIGH and when it becomes boring people will move on. :noid

4. Always have a fresh map for Titanic Tuesday

Agreed, although I'll admit I just hate the big maps. Too hard on the eyes.

Complete stalemate map.  Towns so close to field that the ACK has to be taken down for capture as well.  Personally sick of that map, wish someone would win, don't care who.

HTC treats player made maps with pure disregard.

Completely out of touch with reality.

There are certain things that make maps work in the main arena.  Most anyone can make a map work in the H2H environment that do not, in any way, shape, or form function correctly in the "Real" arenas.

Working with terrains for scenarios, I have some idea as to what I am speaking of, as small minor issues that are overlooked in the player made maps can wreak havoc on the main arenas and events.

Comments like this are totally out of line and based on nothing but speculation.  I urge you to submit a map, Correctly, so that HTC doesn't have to build and rebuild more times than it's worth, Then suggest you might know what you are talking about.

Just because you think you know something does not make it a fact.

Well Said ROC.
I've been toying with making a map. There is much more to it than meets the eye.
I can see already that making a usable MA map is going to take many many months of work.

AHHH, a Company man eh?

You completely miss the point sir.

We the paying subscribers have identified a problem that has become increasingly annoying. The stale map problem has been whined about, discussed, argued, and debated, by us the subscribers that pay the freight... The responses we get are...  <crickets chirping> . There have been several interesting proposals/suggestions as to a solution to the problem that have been... ignored, dismissed, and rejected without so much as a peep out of those who can effect a favorable outcome to this everlasting problem. Meanwhile YOU chime in with the Nuremberg Defense... and I liberally paraphrase, "I am only following orders". Please spare me the fingerpointing...

As others have stated... Submitting a map is like throwing matter into a black hole. Nothing is ever heard about the submitted map (that took serious time and effort to make) again.

It would be nice to at least have a little dialog with those at HTC that can impact this issue, and a little serious discussion about what can be done and how we (the subscriber base) can help.

The FIRST step in the problem solving process is to identify the problem... We are there. Let's FIX this mess of a map problem once and for all!

When was the last time "the war" was won, does anyone know ?

I think the problem is getting a good sized map so players can fight over it without having the "HORDE" effect take over. New maps maybe ?
