Viewing system request
« on: June 12, 2000, 10:28:00 AM »
Firstly I'd like to say how much I like the viewing system and the better SA it allows players, currently the best in any online flight sim...but

Can we have either a slide bar or a key map to increase the head panning speed? not to an unrealistic speed but something closer to a real pilots ability, at the moment it feels just a little too slow. I love the ability to pan and track cons above and to the sides of me. Also can we please stop the Linda Blair abilities of the current view system?

Yeah I know we have snap views but they leave plenty of blindspots, one of the big selling points for me changing over to AH from WB was the 3D cockpits with a pannable view system. Would be kinda nice to fine tune such a system to individual player choice by the addition of some kind of slider option in the setup or a key map, just wondered if it was alot of work to put this feature in.

Just move your head to the position you want for each direction, using arrow keys and pgup/pgdn.  Then hit F10 to save it. Works in instant snap mode too.
