Frames per second
« on: July 11, 2008, 05:11:41 AM »
2 questions here.

1) I have enabled the textures to be preloaded at start up and the display in green on the screen now says tex 101. My frame rate is up about 40% and I can run at default setting instead of maximum speed and still average about 35 fps. Intuitively I assume its because the terrain is preloaded hence less work for the processor in the moment so to speak. Am I right and is there a downside.

2) How do you switch the fps display on as one of my squaddies hasn't got it and would like it?

Thanks.

Thanks Bruv. I appear to have "muppeted it" (from the Latin IL muppetatoos, to act in a way resembling one who is a cross between a mop and a puppet) It was written in front of my face.
