Mom's had a non-epileptic seizure disorder since I was little. Couple that with her age and it's getting to her. She's still functional and competent, but, you know...

my mother brother and sister had epilepsy for most of their lives, seizures were an almost everyday occurrence in my house while growing up so i can understand you pains.
there is a hospital in Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon NH that does alot of neurological studies and operations. both my brother and sister had completely different surgeries done and neither has had a seizure since (3 years for sis and 8 years for my brother)
now i know you said your moms is non-epileptic, but like i said they do alot of work on the human brain not just epilepsy, maybe they could help you. it couldn't hurt to contact them and see what they can offer.
