Eny just 'encourages' you to try it out!  :aok

We have a winner!

That's what I was trying to convey...

ENY didn't really prevent me from flying my favorite low ENY plane...  It encouraged me to up a high ENY plane that I wouldn't have EVER upped under other circumstances.

My apoogies to the folks who tried to convert this to a normal pro/con ENY rant thread, you should have read the OP more closely.

I will say I would not mind having one day a week with no ENY restrictions for the simple reason that I actually kind of miss the hordes of Mustangs and La7's at times, on grounds of immersion.

I have some fond memories of racing down a runway with a squaddie in D9's or K4's (well, G10's at the time), clawing for altitude, and desperately trying (usually failing, but hey), to fight off waves of P-51's and La7's.  That can certainly still happen locally, but there were times in this game and Air Warrior where you could go months at a time feeling like you really were being overwhelmed by the industrial might of America and the Soviet Union :)

I mean, if you spend a few hours reading Donald Caldwell's "JG26," and can then jump into this game and pretty much get what you've read, there's something to be said for immersion.  Kind of like how Dan feels with his P38G.

I guess I have to concede from a business/community standpoint, HTC made the right decision, but if they wanted to just toss ENY restrictions out for Titanic Tuesdays and let the chips fall where they may I wouldn't complain :)

How high can eny be ?

Imagine attacking with c47s only ....
My ammo last for 6 Lancasters, or one Yak3.
"And the Yak 3 ,aka the "flying Yamato"..."
