They look pretty when they're spinning into the ground with both engines on fire. :D

Alright, damn it! Who the hell let Guppy near the F4Us?!  :furious :furious
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Was just thinking the same thing.  How else does Guppy get all those "landing" photos?

He's a penny pinching tyrant.  The only thing he pays us in is beatings if we don't snap the perfect picture.

Seen some of the 49th moving mud with the P-38J, here's a tip for A2G in the J.  Do not use rockets if you plan on fighting your way home after your A2G run.  The bazooka tubes add unnecessary drag and makes the P-38J rather sluggish at low speeds.

They only mud I move is the mud that moves when my 38 goes splat. I prefer air to air. Not everyone in the 49th is a mud turtle.

Best way to learn is to mix it up and don't be afraid to get shot down. The P38 doesn't reward timidness and rewards aggressive flying, especially in the long run.

I like my light bomber.  What's the problem?

Could be the stuff flying past you is just 38G parts falling off my plane.

Big Brother is watching you.

BUT I got a question. I was looking up some tests on the P-38J and some past-posts. Apparently the P-38J, 25% fuel I think in AH, stalls at 98 mph with full flaps, gear according to  http://electraforge.com/brooke/flightsims/aces_high/stallSpeedMath/stallSpeedMath.html. The flight manual (calibrated) is 89 mph. That's about a 10 mph difference. According to a bunch of tests and some posts I found by WW.. still trying to find it... but the plane's supposed to stall at about 60 - 65 mph dirty?
http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/p-38/p-38-67869.html Power-on stalls at 53 mph. I doubt it's calibrated.
http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/p-38/p-38-28392.html Power-on stalls (2400 rpm) at 60 mph.

Edited for typos, links.
