Sorry CAP1 didnt get on to read this until just now. Im not allowed to leave Army side unless to go to the PX. I always have to be in uniform and cant leave base. PM me and I'll give you my phone number if you wana hang. I have no idea where anything on this base is besides the PX and the mock FOB.
Yes I still look like Im 15. Yes I can grow facial hair. Its a pain in the arse. Yall gentlemen remember when you were young and could not wait until you started to shave. Then it became a nuisance. Having to shave not once, but twice a day makes me wish I was younger. Im 20 now. Turn 21 in Dec while I'll be in the sand box. Yet again the military loves to stick it to me.

Its scary I stated playing this game and posting on here when I was 14...
And thanks yall for the thank yous. But I dont consider myself a good candidate for it. I have not been there yet. I cannot say that I wont see combat or hard times over there. But their are people who deserve bigger thank yous then myself. The Army and the Marine soldiers being one group. The Army and the Marines and other forces Ive learned to respect so much more with this training. We all make fun of each other and debate who is the best. But when it comes down to it I think it takes a special person to live the life of a Army or Marine soldier who does this day in and day out for years on end. We all do our little part to get the job done no matter politics and popular opinion. We could not do our jobs without yall supporting us back home. From everyday things such as watching the news and seeing a fallen soldier and that moment of grief for that soldier and their family. To even stopping in public for a moment to shake a military member, active or reserve, and shaking their hand. Or to larger things yall do for us such as care packages and remembering us. There are always signs for "Support Our Troops" everywhere. But the military makes no effort to thank yall who thank us everyday. Instead our only intention is to recruit more. My point being coming from a lowly E-3 at the age of 20 and still finding my foot path I give anyone who reads this a sincere thank you to all of you out there. It really does mean alot to us.
And please lets not discuss the politics behind the higher ups sending sailors over to do the Army's job. We are going no matter what. For every sailor that goes a soldier gets to come home to see his family. A sacrifice we are willing to make and volunteer for. And its not just the Navy. There are also a few hundred Air Force members here who are also going to help out the Army. All the services go by a different name for each branch. But we are all one big family and strive to help out our brothers and sisters when they call upon us for help. Just as you would do for one of your children or siblings.
