In the painting, the chipping along the front of the wing fillet looks just like your style.

Unfortunately I never did a P-39 template as I was working on the interior at the time it was done and I've been too busy since then to do one. Its not likely I'll ever get round to it, so I'm afraid I'll have to pass on this one. I hope someone takes it on though, its a very nice scheme. It would be good to see an RAF Airacobra skin in the MA too.

Agree blue is too dark and also way too intense - can you back off the opacity or dial down the saturation a bit.  Same with the star insignia - just needs to be faded a bit.

Nice work on the camo and the markings.   It looks to me like Wahl Eye and Pat need a dark outline around them, too.

This color shot shows 39th FG 38s after they transitioned from 39s. 41st FS 39s in the background  Both 35th FG.

You can see the blue they used for their spinner color fairly well though
