How do I make a nose art for squad upload?

I can't find the info for this... Can anyone help please?

it's on the clipboard in the squad option where you invite people. art needs to be named after the CO's in game name.

This from the Help section under squads. option to upload is at the bottom of the clipboard.

The Upload Noseart button can be used by the squad CO to upload a 64x64 noseart graphic.  Graphics are not displayed in the game nor on the web page until they have been reviewed by the HTC staff.  The transparency color to use in order to make your noseart blend into the plane is {176, 176, 176}.  To upload a graphic, make sure your 64x64 bitmap file is named with your Game ID and is in your ../HTC/Aces High II/squads/ directory.  Next, click the Upload Noseart button.  Once the noseart is approved, your squad members may force the new image to download by deleting the existing noseart in their ../HTC/Aces High II/squads directory.

first you need a program that can shrink jpegs and convert them to bitmaps, they need to be 64 by 64

two real good FREE programs are faststone image viewer and Faststone image resizer

 get a picture you like shrink it, convert it, and then place it in your squad folder inside your  HTC folder , in about a week or so it will be uploaded so every one in your squad should have it, oh you got to also go into your ingame squad section and click upload noseart.

im tellin ya guys if you dont have those Faststone programs, you realy should get them even for looking at your own pics, and such they are small but yet VERY good programs.

and you cant beat FREE

I'm a graphic designer so i have photoshop and illustrator here at work, looking to get it at the house soon also. 1 thing bad about Photoshop is that bitmaps look kinda bad, saved a nose art for the AVA and it just didn't look very clean. started off as a vector image so pixelation from a bad image was not the problem.

I might download that program and try it out. someone suggested a plug in for photoshop bitmaps but I'm not to hot on messing with my computer at work.

ahhhh i hear ya, i have never used Photoshop, i like the Free stuff, HEHE to many kids to be buying stuff like that.

i use Gimp.

Okay, I can't seem to find the transparancy settings in photoshop... Can someone point me to where that might be?

trying to get it to blend in to the back ground and not have a colored square frame?

If so make sure your color mode is RGB then in the color selector make R=176, G=176, B=176 then fill it in the background.

If you want something to be transparent on your image your looking for Opacity on the layers window.
