death after the fight....

Not sure if this is a 1.03 thing, but I crashed on landing quite a bit after a P-51 got my rudder and port aileron (in Yak).  The P-51 got the kill.  Does this seem right? In the war, you had to have a visual on the kill.

This is how is was in Warbirds.  I like it personally.  If he damaged  you enough to make you flop the ditch, or landing, and it killed you, why shouldn't he get the kill?

Well, I guess it depends on which end of the damage you're on .

I like it, actually. Although a wind gust gave Yeager a kill on me, when I was landing like 30 mins later. And that pisses you off.

Conversely, one of the best things to do in AH is get to 20k and BnZ a staging formation. They get so pissed off. But your passes must be FAST, and you can't rely on cannons. So often, I wing a guy with a couple MG shots, and may damage something like a rudder. So he heads home, and maybe he crashes during landing. I get that kill. Maybe it was because he had no rudder that he crashed. I think I deserve it.

One time I dogfighted with a 109 in the Jap Zero until we both ran out of both fuel and ammo.  Neither of us got any hits  So I returned to base, botched the landing, got myself killed and he got the credit

Maybe we need some sort of system where you can only get the kill if there was another friendly in visual range and you obviously could only get it if you and the other fellow where in visual range when the bandit crashed.
