Being jealous for few eh?
For statistical reasons, lets also mention that I think my average disco ratio is once per 24 hours played or more due to provider losing connection to US. (ping timeout, ping timeout.. curse curse)
and more about discos I have experienced and situations, mostly during cruising somewhere near nowhere, then a bit before engaging (including bomber flights on targets) and second rare situation is when I am about to kill someone and I have twice got 'saved' by disco from being killed.. though, on second time I were anyway credited to the likely killer of mine who would probably had killed.
those cases didn't really have much good effects personally on my scores.. K/D etc. went down on those times, even if nearest enemy was 50 miles apart.
note that scores handles disconnect as death.
that is from my very own experience and I don't doubt I couldn't make over 200 streak again even if I would be attached right to the host machine.
What comes to Ypsilon, hes hunter, flies high and fast, choosing his flight path carefully and areas of engagement.
It's not always smart to engage on first enemy that you see.
overall, I keep disconnecting from game more as bad thing for streakers than dying.. because you can avoid dying with your skills, but you can't avoid getting disconnected from game if your provider desides to put connections out to the host - therefore giving you 'disconnect' point which is being equal to 'death' point.
and what made me to write this? early hour, long time no sleep and I don't like that people tries to even hint bad about streakers because they don't believe its so possible or are jealous, I give high respect for skilled survivors.
