Forget using joystick i use mouse and i can still take off a turning cv  :P although joystick and rudders does make it a lot easier, Practice practice practice is the only way to get better at it.  :salute

Fully loaded buffs would be hard to take off a turning Cv. Fighters have little trouble.

I've never really understood what's so hard about taking off from a turning cv...

I only have trouble in a fully loaded F4U-1D (bombs, rockets, 100% fuel). The combination of the lousy visibility over the nose and the fact that it's just barely flying when you run out of carrier makes it interesting. I'm always a little more careful when I need that combination, which admittedly, is not often.
I'll check the wake before the roll, so it's usually not a problem, but every once in awhile, the takeoff gets "sporty".

Always assume the carrier is turning when you spawn out.  Have your feet on the rudder  pedals and ready to compensate.  If it is truely turning hard then apply some aileron to keep your outside wingtip down as your speed increases.  If you dont have rudder pedals or a twist stick....dont spawn out on carriers.
