Being pretty new to California myself, I have a cautious curiosity what earthquakes feel like.. I'm sure I'll find out soon enough..  

having been in la in 94 and having to sleep in the street cause the house was full of broken glass, they dont feel so good

I'm on a roll here - managed to miss the fires in the Fall by being on a business trip to Arizona. Missed the quake today by being in Kansas City.

Mrs Wooley in Newport Beach phoned to say she was pretty shaken up but otherwise OK. Need to wait until she gets home tonight to see if the apartment is in one piece - actually, screw the apartment, just want to know my TV is OK
