Russian was right. I did state, "this week." Saw the month and day and completely disregarded the year. I was correcting it while Russian was typing.

The pilot flying #2 was off the mark flying a brand new rebuild and over controlled trying to avoid #1 who he almost killed anyway (his prop missed the #1 pilot by little more than a foot).
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

The front plane should not touch down first.

yes, there was a very good quality video on ANnews or something like that.

the number one plane touched down first, and number 2 clipped his verticle stab with his right wing. number 2 was still airborn at the time, and immediatly flipped.

i think there's still video out there....

There shouldn't be formation landings period...IMO it's showboating and got those poor guys
in a world of hurt.

The pilots weren't intending to land in formation, which I also agree is dangerous.  There was a miscommunication as the planes set up to land and the 51A closed in on the 51D without realizing it...  I was a mock air race and the all aircraft were landing with a 1-2 mid separation.

Very sad loss of a well known pilot.
