Exactly. Which is why I'm not petitioning for a giant flying aircraft carrier. I want a simple, basic, no-frills airborne resupply/repair pad.

No huge gondolas and hangars, no giant hydrogen-filled balloons with metal skeletons...just a rudimentary flying chunk of runway that quickly and efficiently repairs and reloads battle-worn aircraft.

After that clarification, I can only assume that you're onboard with this.

Ships have drydocks, right.. So why the hell doesn't something so much smaller and less technically sophisticated have its equivalent? ...

An airplane.. nay.. warplane is less technically sophisticated than a ship?
