No, it's not... don't even think about it...

How about a Heinkel He-177?

Might be a nice alternative to what's there... certainly more survivable than a Betty (they liked to burn and come apart!), better payload, 20mm cannon defensive armament, respectable performance, and it saw combat, actually used to bomb London in 1944.

Not entirely successful as a design with two engines in one nacelle, but certainly qualifies as a production, saw-service aircraft.

It's got a decent speed, 350mph max at 16,000 ft. with 15, 800 pounds of bombs....

I'm not saying' gimme gimme gimme, but I haven't noticed anyone else asking for it...it might be a nice medium-perk aircraft.

Thoughts? (rational, intelligent ones please!)

i disagree we really dont have a large long range german bomber in the game
so the he-177 would be a great pick.

I have trouble with the He-111...

It was a stalwart aircraft of the Luftwaffe, but by 1943/44 it was hopelessly outclassed in terms of performance.

It's a German medium bomber used as a heavy bomber. Early on, it was successful enough, but a Ju-88 can accomplish the same basic mission.

I'll reiterate, I'm not saying gimme gimme gimme, I'm just tossing ideas out there that might take hold, providing a historical argument, technological justification, and looking for areas in the game where aircraft like these could fit and actually fill a requirement.
