icon didn't show

i ha dall my icons on and i was in a gv battle and a i saw an m4 it didn't have an icon so i thought it was an enemy, well guess what it was a freindly so i took a shot and of course that kills me , what happened?

Only thing I can think of is you had your icons set to not show friendly icons, although you say you had them all on. Cycle through Alternate/I to be sure you have icons set to normal.

Killshooter is on.  The system takes any damage you try to inflict on a friendly unit, and inflicts it on you instead.  This is to prevent fraggers from shooting their country mates.

Mabey his name was being blocked by a tree. Ive shotten my own guys when they were sitting under a tree with there names blocked quite a few times.

ok then it wasnt an "alt i" situation, it was that some object was obstructing your sight on his icon
