I was / am going to go... big dilemma...

Mom passed on July 27th her B-day 2002. Each year I have gone up there on that weekend, and every year that weekend was a few days after the 27th. Since 2003 my best friend, his sons and I have gone to the EAA the last Saturday of the show, then up to upper MI after.

This year neither of us can afford the trip to upper MI, and I can barely, maybe afford the EAA.

My company's annual picnic is that same weekend. I was there only 2 months last year and missed. This year I can't justify going for that then NOT going to the UP, so I have to miss the EAA for the first time in 5 years

Don't envy you though, prediction is for 94º and sunny... gonna be brutal hot there :lol

94º is child's play after my deal in Florida.  Bring it on, hell I didn't even sweat today!

Two squaddies of mine are going.  WASTER07 & Hawker41.  I think "mrbucket" is going as well.  If you need info. so you can meet them I can hook you up.

I'm not planning on going either, but I work across the street from the runway so get to see all the planes anyway, hehe.  They fly right over our roof as they takeoff/land, depending on wind direction.
