Her job is a "professional celebrity".

Call her all the names you want, she is making her money off of all of us because we cannot stop watching her.  Goofy thing, ain't it?

True.  But I watched her campaign ad.  Either she's a lot smarter than she lets on, or she has some insanely funny writers on retainer.

I was wondering the same thing about her, too. It's ALMOST believable the dumb act is just that.

Either way, there's something seriously wrong with our political system when the smartest thing said during this campaign so far has come from PARIS HILTON.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Big talk from Paris - she couldn't even handle 20 days in celebrity jail... I wonder how she'd fare under five and half years at the Hanoi HILTON.

scuzzy.. I may be one of the few people who would not recognize her if I seen her.   I don't know what she looks like other than skinny and blond but.. if you lined up 10 skinny blond women celebrities I couldn't tell you who any of em were most likely.  I certainly couldn't pick her out of the lineup.

Why is it "welfare" if someone earning money get's to keep it?  If welfare is a Bad Thing, then why do so many support You and I going to work to pay for someone else not working?  At what taxpayer expense are they getting this so called welfare?

It's not welfare, it's paying taxes on what they do as a private business, and not paying as much as some socialist thinks they should.  It IS welfare to expect me to pay for someone not working and supporting their own family.

Nice soundbite though, probably feels good saying it.

What is so difficult about understanding it is not The Governments or Your Money!

You sound like you think I support welfare.  I don't.  You also sound like you're confusing social welfare and corporate welfare...  I oppose corporate welfare of all sorts, including tax "incentives", because it's not the fedgov's job to rig the tax code to favor one technology over another.  Doing so interferes with market forces making the correct determination as to a technologies' viability.  If a technology is economically viable, no gov't "help" is necessary, and if a technology is not economically viable then no amount of gov't meddling will make it so.
