It would be kewl to be able to pick up ground troops in an airplane.......they simply walk to the plane and when in a certain "hotzone" they can be picked up with some command or other.
Same thing for downed pilots walking around....to avoid capture and torture at the hands of the Knights, etc.

I reckon that would be a good idea too,i think it would add to the realism if this was an option, and i would also know that all DHBG's would get home safely, even sitting on Vega's lap...........mmmmm warm.
PS Vega,i working on getting back into MA atm...hopefully i will cya soon.

I would really like to see that! If you land and bring someone back you could get some perk-points, and the other guy should get something like "returned safely" etc. Maybe we could introduce some SAR-planes? What about a Kingfisher for artillery spotting and search/rescue?  :D

It sure would be nice to give your squadmate a lift back home (or get one, in my case  :) )

Also I miss some little 3d-people around the base.  When u are on the runway in your c47 the little fellas should run over to your plane from the barracks and enter the plane with appropriate sounds, like "Uh-oh", "Sarge, I don't wanna go" or something.

I also would like a little fellow (or more) come out of the "outhouse" at the pad and actually rearm/refuel the plane. Why not disable the sheep (sorry btw) and give us some groundcrew running around.

I realise that at least the last suggestion would result in a framerate hit (smoking hangars and rearming - shudder) but it's on my wishlist for the future with the rest of the stuff anyway.

Finally vega: We knights don't tourture our prisoners! (Except for some special individuals in order to heighten the passion...)
Kurt is winking at U!

Fantastic idea!
I would prefer special rescue planes like the Fi 156 Storch.
They should have the same reduced icon ranges as the ground vehicles.
For every rescued pilot you would get a perk and the rescued pilot would get a "bailed" instead a "capture".
Especially in Special Events with only one live, it would be very important bringing back the own pilots.
And we have the perfect apology for chute killing  :D

Hi All,
Taking this a step further how about being able to re supply ground vehicles from C47's or Storch's, Lysander's etc. I'm not so much considering the ability to drop ammo although I don't see why not, but track parts or gun parts etc to repair damage. with a few minute delay for the repairs to be completed. I know in real life this type of repair could take a considerable time or possibly would be out of the question without an engineer, but with other gameplay concessions already in place I think it would work. It's a long drive sometimes, even from the spawn points. To lose a track and have no other option but to ditch an otherwise capable panzer etc because it gets left out of the fight.

Just a thought

wouldn't AH have to build an officers club first, before you could "pick up" the troops ?
