My question: Why hasn't the Democratic Party tossed this thug ?

In all fairness, he is not yet convicted.

In all fairness, he is an idiot.  He violated the bail/bond conditions he agreed to.  Regardless of whether or not he will be convicted, he gets sent to jail for being a retard.

In all fairness... If Detriot held mayorial elections tommorrow Kilpatrick would  be re-elected.
You get what you vote for, to bad so many haven't figured this out yet.

BTW, The appeals court will not hear his appeal untill friday morning meaning he's spending the night in jail.  I wonder if his mother, Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, will visit her baby in jail.

In all fairness, he left the country on Detroit business; he was putting the needs of Detroit before his personal self.

"Kilpatrick apologized for the trip, telling Giles his first priority was taking care of the city."

"Parkman noted that Kilpatrick's trip "wasn't a personal trip over there to go to Caesar's Palace and play" but for Detroit business. "He believes it was the right thing to do, and on the spur of the moment, he just went," Parkman told reporters."

Mr. Parkman apparently believes that court orders only apply to play time and not business time.  Mr. Kilpartick - well, I would like to stay on this board.

The same reason the Republican Party chooses not to toss theirs.

In defense of Kwame, he does provide some real entertainment around here.

No he wasn't.   The City Council VETOED the "Tunnel Deal".   He's merely attempting "damage control".  Both of his terms have been about "committing adultery".   He's a POS.

Local 4: Mich. AG Will Charge Mayor For Assault
Detroit Mayor May Face Assault Charges
LANSING, Mich. -- Local 4 has confirmed through multiple sources that Attorney General Mike Cox will be announcing he is charging Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick with one count of felonious assault on a police officer and one count of obstruction of justice on Friday.

Apparently there's something else to add to his resume!

Well looks like he's facing two counts for fellony assault on a law enforcement officer. What a model stand up citizen this guy is and the Mayor of one of the largest cities in this country. Of course I've been to Detroit and having driven around that place I can see perfectly how he got elected.

Lots of urban black people vote for him. He's quite a role model. Detroit is largely populated by urban blacks ergo he gets elected.
