I thought the opening was very impressive.  The drum program was really great.

Tell that to the relative of the U.S. Mens Volleyball coach who was stabbed and killed today.    BTW, you wasted your money on paying for a Pro.   You should've bought a DVD and done it yourself.
How has this guy not been PNG'ed yet?

The opening ceremonies were indeed impressive.  Now, bring forth the Yao for his 40 pt. spankin'.   :D

The opening ceremony was just amazing, I don't know if anyone else has already mentioned this, but they spent $300,000,000 on it, thats 10 times more then any other country has spent on it.

It's an eyesore to read posts from those have been drinking political koolaid TM lately~

Tell me about it.
Particularly when I see them comming from some of the brightest minds I've found anywhere.
And Im not speaking of only the olympic comments either.

That being said. and beyond that. The Olympics are about the games and the atheletes and not politics.
I've always been against any Olympic boycott for any political reason.

Having been there and seen the conditions of everything...it kinda reverses the cool factor of it.

I've been to Bejing too, and I still think the opening was impressive.
