voice radio

i'm new to the game, and am trying to get my radio to work so that i can go into the training area for some badly needed instruction.  my speakers and mike work fine except when in voice communication.  tested the way the "set-up" voice advised.(tune radio to yourself and you should be able to hear yourself)  but when i try that i am unable to hear anything.  when i hit the "t" key, it lights up but can't hear.............any advise/suggestions

If your mic works in windows, try setting the in-game voice option for "Use wave in" and see if that help.

Try using the sound recorder icon in winblows to test it.  You will most likely have to go into the properties and set thing up to get the mic to work as sometimes the properties have the mic level too low or even muted.  I keep it on my desktop but I think it's under start/all programs/accessories/sound recorder
