"question about simpit construction"

I have recently started my long awaited simpit build, and have a few questions I could use some help with,

1. how or what is a good way to enclose the monitor in wood to possibly mount items on either side of the monitor at a later time?

2. I use the track IR will it still work if I add another monitor?

TIR is completely independent from any displays. It's merely a way to give input just like a mouse or hatswitch does.
