I think that Liukin looked like Hayden Panettiere, the chick who plays the cheerleader on NBC's "Heroes", when her character would have her hair pulled back in a ponytail like Liukin did lastnight.

I don't think anything will beat USA's 1980 Hockey team beating the Soviets.

While watching the competition, I remembered that the uneven bars used to be much closer together. So... I searched YouTube just to be certain.

I found something I didn't expect. Go watch older competitions with women like Nadia Comeneci, Olga Korbut, or Mary Lou Retton. While the athletes in many sports seem to have gotten better and better over the last few decades, I don't think there is a single modern gymnast that is better than the three I just mentioned.

I don't think anything will beat USA's 1980 Hockey team beating the Soviets. That absolutely ruled and I got to watch it live. America went nuts over those guys because they were all amateurs and the USSR team was basically pro's and we beat those commies!   :rock   :D

My brother was with security at the '96 Atlanta Games and was lucky to see Keri Strug's final event when she had the spranged ankle and pulled off a perfect landing off the vault and shocked everyone. He said the crowd roared with applause and hooping and hollering. He called us and told us to watch the event that night. It was great.
