My condolences to you and your family. I am very sorry to hear of your loss.
I have had a very close relationship with both life and death in my time on this earth. I have welcomed into this world 12 new lives and helped them take their first breath and hear their first sounds.
I have held the hands of those who have lived their lives to the fullest during their last minutes upon this earth.
I have been witness to the most tragic kind of loss of both youthful life and of those who have lived full lives but have been taken before their time.
The loss of a beloved father and friend, no matter the circumstances is a sad time in ones life.
But do not despair, as he has passed on to the next chapter of his life. Rejoice in the time you had with him and remember that love is never ending. Death can take away our mortal bodies but can never take away our love and time spent with our loved ones.
I added a few words of my own into this famous quote.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, beer in one hand, joystick in the other, thoroughly used up totally worn out and loudly proclaiming, "Wow, what a ride!" - anonymous
