Well, you'll never need B17's or even 190's in a BoB movie anyway. And you had 190's fighting Spitties before B17's fired the first shot in anger anyway....
Now the Stukas...well that's a waste. Apparantly a delight to fly and very robust. But the models of the bigger sort quite make a challenge to even the best cgi, - the ones I have seen (up to B-17's) are awesome.
Lets all hope for more WW2 aviation on the silver screen anyway.

For aircraft that are rare such as the Stuka, they completely scan real aircraft using a lazer which builds a 3d model in a computer :aok

<edit> The new equipment even picks out colours, transparent material etc - it is really impressive stuff.

Now that's...today.
I always hate it though when they screw up the reality once they have the graphics. Over-The-Top things..."OTT".
But...imagine you could have your best AH fights covered with such...we'll have to wait a wee... ;=)
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

I'm aware of that I'm not talking about a BOB movie, I'm not talking about a Spit movie period. There were many other theaters of WWII where the aircraft that fought there are rare birds today. Like I said not every movie needs a Spit in it.  Is Supermarine paying you? ;)
