Need help finding info on Austrian Luftwaffe Pilot
« on: August 21, 2008, 10:02:31 AM »
Hey guys,

A friend of mine is looking info on her dad.  Frank Dopplinger was an Austrian pilot for the Luftwaffe during WWII.  He was shot down several times and eventually ended up a POW in 1945 in Allied captured Germany.  Where can we find info on what he flew, what units he was posted to, and any other relevant info?

I would imagine that there are probably some WW2 veteran groups in Germany that have this information that you seek.
