I think when we are in any discussion that involves our form of government we should call it by what it is...........

It is NOT a Democracy, NEVER has been a Democracy, and it was NEVER intended to be a Democracy.

The individuals that got together and came up with our form of government were classically educated.

They were FULLY aware of the Greek Democracies and REJECTED that form of government for our nation.  The MAJORITY does NOT rule here!  We have a Bill of Rights and efforts were made to PREVENT the majority from ruling over the minority. 

IIRC  Benjamin Franklin answered with a Republic IF we can keep it..

Seems to me we ought to be more careful about calling our form of government something it isn't.

skyrock.. since I think the only function of government is to raise an army and to provide the court system then you can probly figure out how I feel about a federal reserve.

I have no idea who is rich and didn't earn it and who is rich and earned every cent and deserve it.. not my call.  that is what a court system should address.   

It seems that all of us want smaller government for everyone but ourselves.. we seem to want more and more government in our own lives so far as safety nets and giveaways.

None of us seem to think that we have enough and that it is the fault of anyone who has more than us.

Agreed. But the population doesn't know that. The reality is about 35% of the population votes. Their mis-conceptions, cherished delusions, really; are what all the election hoopla is about.
