Suggestion - hangar menu
« on: August 13, 2001, 09:24:00 AM »
I for one am starting to find the hangar "clipboard menu" a little cluttered, particularly in the CA arena. Would it be possible to exclude unavailable aircraft/boats from the menu as presented at that airfield - rather than "greying" them out as is current practice? I'd also like to see the deletion of the "boats" menu, and the creation of a user configurable sub-menu. My guess is that many of us tend to swap between a small selection of aircraft typically, and it would be useful to be able to personalise a sub menu. My first action would be to add the "Guns field or ship" hangar selection to this new sub-menu.

Sounds like a damn fine idea to me! Mind if I toss a little tweak of my own in? Instead of the current way we pick our ord & fuel, how about a new method. At the bottom of the aircraft list have a "Load-out" button that pulls up a list of what you can load. Aside from cleaning the screen up a lot it would completely eliminate those annoying "click throughs" giving you 25% fuel. And you wouldn't have to slide the clipboard out of the way to pick rockets!
