One benefit of a slow economy
« on: August 23, 2008, 03:42:23 PM »
Illegal immigrants are returning home to Mexico in numbers not seen for decades — and the Mexican government may have to deal with a crush on its social services and lower wages once the immigrants arrive.

Wow.  This is really upsetting some people.

"Advocates for immigrants are disturbed by the trend."

Why on earth would you be disturbed if they leave on their own free will?  Unbelievable.

because most of them need some cause to get behind to justify there lives.  No immigrants not cause......life has less meaning for them.

The economy isn't slow. It's strong!

The construction slowdown resulting from the burst of the housing bubble really put the brakes' on the demand for a lot of manual labor. With the inflation, rising cost of living, etc. It's simply put a lot of IA's on the spot, financially.

The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

...at home, or abroad.

Yet it's been a losing battle since then as well, but don't tell the Right wing that, because after all they still think they can win it & the drug war.  :rofl

If we declare open season on liberals first, it's doubtful we'll have to waste much ammo on the illegals.

They need the votes?
It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

A recession has traditionally been defined as a period of zero growth in the economy.  The figures for the last quarter show a growth rate of 2 percent.  A slowdown to be sure, but a recession...nah....not unless Krugman has redefined the term...again.

Oh man, but I can't afford my mortgage on my 3000 sq foot house on my $7.50/hr job!  I can't decide on if I should fill up my Hummer or buy my kids food.  If only they'd approve me on my 37th credit card.  29.9% APR is good right?

Dem der are some smart people.

Haven't seen any change in the local Walmart.  That is always a good judge of how may illegals are around.  I drive an extra 15 miles to go to the Mexican free Walmart.  For Some reason, they hav enot invaded that one yet.   :aok

In reply to the post above.  Have any of you seen teh ad that Gary Coleman is in for some sort of quick and easy loan.  I actually paused it to read the fine print and found that they charge 99.25% APR for a loan of $2600.  Isn't that illegal?
