Now your talking!  :aok I'm a four Sam Adams kind of pilot. One for briefing one before takeoff one in flight and one for victory/consolation.  :D

It makes for interesting flight without the cupholder.

It's usually 2 a night for me for the FSO. I finally finished a case of Winter Ale that I got in December  :D. Getting shot down makes going for the refill less stressfull. I have to run upstairs for the beer and of course ya gotta visit the br.

nope: no pilot in command or crew member shall attempt to operate an aircraft, or act as a crewmember for a period of eight hours after consuming any beverage or drug that could inhibit their ability to safely control the aircraft.

my wording may be off, but that;s the jist of it. the FARS also set forth .04 as the limit for blood alchohol tests.

Can you make a Keystone Light P-40B? Crappiest beer always goes best with the crappiest plane! :D

P-40B is very good if flown to its strengths

Well, you're correct..however, "back in the day" my "IP" always stressed 24.  Ask anyone who has been "whacked" on booze how they felt 8 hrs later.
For commercial drivers, a BAC of .04% can result in a DUI conviction nationwide.  Would seem to me that Pilots would fall under the same rules, but alas they don't.  Probably another reason I refuse too be a passenger on a commercial flight. ;)

yes, pilots do. for a pilot with a BAC of .04, he's toast.

as for the 8 hours v 12 hours? i think 8 is waaayyyyy too short. i've actually set my personal limit to 24 hours, as i'm a lightweight with alchohol.

the flight club i'm in has computer scheduling, and i can if i so chose go up there right now(it's 1:30am here as i type this) and sign out the cessna. for this reason, i pretty much stopped drinking alltogether, as i don't want to become an NTSB report.
