Pictorials of the action in Rangoon, '42 scenario
« on: August 24, 2008, 05:22:34 AM »
For any interested, I have posted pictorials of the action in the just-completed Rangoon, '42 scenario:

Frame 4 was the most exciting from the axis point of view, I think.

great pics  and it was a good frame.

Like to mention zrapier and coronado they flew out of their skin in (a6m2's) a 2vs2 soon became a 3 to 2 in our favour.  Quite a few times they kept turning and rolling out of the way to avoid possible HO shots.   From what I've seen so far lots of attempted rams and such but these two were here for the fight.  :salute

Great Pics

I was the initial A-20 in frame's 2 & 3, certainly was a great job screening me off in frame 2, I zigged when I should have zagged me thinks :D...

In frame 3 I was probably the A-20 you plinked at long range and the A-20 in the buff stream as it went south. I ended up with a PW and about 1/2 of an A-20 left but did limp home and manage a blacked out belly landing onto the big pad. I thought I lit kermits buffs up pretty well but ended up with 5 assists and no kills on the buffs (3 kills, 7 assists overall that frame). All in all was a fun time all around. I was kind of suprised you guys didnt just "bull rush" us at least 1 frame (frame 4 was close)...

Frame 2 your left tackle wiffed and the QB got hit from the blind side ;) .  Frame 4 was more like a delayed safety blitz.  Overall two first downs and two sacks... should be interesting to see how many yards were gained or lost (ok I'll stop, its almost football season tho!).

This is the Captain.  We have a lil' problem with our entry sequence so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

Are we speaking of the same frame 2?  Frame 2, the bombers got into and out of Rangoon without any enemy attacks on them.  It was a quick rush to Rangoon that worked well for the axis.

OK, I'm a little slow on the football analogies.  I see what you're getting at.  My problem is I always think of the side coming in with the bombers as the offense, so I mistakenly thought you were saying that the axis side's QB got hit in frame 2.

Yup, frame 2 was excellent, although alot of the blame goes to me. I couldnt sort the "sweep" from the screen very well and literally just opened the door when I allowed myself to be pushed north on initial contact.

Well, I think a lot of it had to do with luck.  We got extremely lucky on that one, and we knew it.
